Testimonials:

“This is more than a homeschool class. Johnna shares so much wisdom about how to live family life in such a way that enables you to raise whole children while remaining whole yourself as a mother. I took away several insightful tips and suggestions from this class that I'm so excited to implement with my own family. Johnna is so heartwarming and will give you a sense of calm while being an inspiration.” -Marla

“Thank you. Really. I know this isn’t a two hour conversation and it’s done. this is a lifelong magical journey and I appreciate you taking the time to walk us through what you’re doing. There’s nothing better than listening, and seeing tangible ways to foster the love for you kids through someone else who found a connection whether it be mentally or emotionally. Now I only wish we lived close together! I would try to be your best friend! my husband came around the corner asking if I was okay because I was crying, and it was just because it felt like you were speaking only to me.” -Danielle

“I loved the workshop today. Basically, it was mind blowing ... as a single mama, homeschool seems out of reach in many ways but I LOVE your posture and energy. So much resonates and the beauty of how you approach life is just astounding. “Check hearts not boxes” and all the words on rhythms and mapping out seasons and traditions... I loved all of it!!!! Thank you for being you in the world!” -Paige

we are a year round homeschool family focusing on nature and outdoor hands on experiential learning. we make messes, we feel feelings, we adapt to change and we grow deeper together. at our roots here, we value connection over correction and pretty much do everything as a tight knit family. homeschool has offered us the freedom to engage with new life experiences and has deepened our relationship as a family.

The best education does not happen at a desk, but rather engaged in everyday living- hands on, exploring, in active relationship with life.

Children more than ever, need opportunities to be in their bodies in the world- jumping rope, bicycling, stream hopping, and fort building. It’s this engagement between limbs of the body and bones of the earth where true balance and centeredness emerge.

if we can leave the table, get outdoors barefoot, hunt for pinecones or fallen apples and actually learn math this way, then everyone is happier.

Math that is quite literally, a breath of fresh air…is called wild math.

Do you feel like your work is valuable as a mother? I am here to say that, it is. It truly, truly is. It is all of those little moments and little things where we take the time to connect with our children through homeschooling. All of our work is enough and I am wanting to advocate that for you. I feel that it is the most important work that we can do, to raise a generation of loved and seen children. To be in their life and have our presence and our intentionality given to them.
